Last October 23, a meeting was held in Benidorm (Alicante, Spain). In this occasion, the results from the Energy Renovation Studies applied to “Les Dunes Comodoro hotel” were presented by IVE technicians to the hotel direction board and the construction team in charge of developing the renovation project, which will start on November 2019 and will last until the end of January 2020.
Within the framework of the project and after several months of work, the ALDREN methodology has been completed. Its results have been reflected in a final report or “Building renovation passport, BRP” which will be available to all the buildings that joined the ALDREN Pilot Program.
The BRP includes information related to energy rating, energy performance, health and wellbeing and financial valuation as well as providing a complete set of energy Renovation Actions (ERA) to be implemented in the future and organized through a Renovation Roadmap. This roadmap related the measures to be implemented on each building to time, offering a broaden view of how the building is currently behaving and what it must become in the future.
If all the proposed ERAs won´t be incorporated into the final design, the ones affecting to thermal bridges on windows, better performance of the Heating and Domestic Hot Water system, Lighting and ventilation were accepted by the building owners and contractors. The rest will be kept inside the ALDREN BRP for deeper renovations that will take place in the following years.
